Trail Conditions: Overall trails were pretty good but wet, boards were very slick, some mud in spots, icy on north facing slopes of Kinsmans and in some other shady spots along the Kinsman Ridge trail. A few blowdowns on High Cannon and one on Kinsman Ridge section over the Cannonballs.
Special Equipment needed: Yes, Microspikes on very short section on the north side of North Kinsman (Kinsman Ridge Trail). Rocks were covered in a thin coating of ice that would make this section extremely difficult with out traction.
Comments: Great day to be up north. Weather was perfect for a fall hike. I went solo and did not see anyone except a small group at Lonesome Lake.
