Date hiked: 11/28/09

Parked the car and started the hike by the Newton Reservoir on South Royalston Road. Followed the road down to the Thousand Acres Reservoir and then a ways further took a trail to the right that goes into the Millers River Management area. Fun place to explore. Walked out to the railroad, turned around. Found a sunny protected place for lunch near where the Thousand Acres B:)rook flows into the Millers River.

Conditions: Good, two brooks to cross. The wind wasn't bad, but picked up in the afternoon when we were on our way back to the car.

Saw old cellar holes, beautiful brooks, reservoir, fast flowing Millers River. Nice day to walk off turkey excesses.
