No Bigfoot,UFO, or missing person reports on this trip into the area referred to as the Bennington Triangle.

Starting from one tenth of a mile beyond the last house on Harbor Rd. picked up FR278, the old logging road and followed it all the way to the north up into the Glastenbury range until it intersects with the West Ridge Tr. at an elevation of about 3080 on the east side of Glastenbury West peak. Followed the West Ridge Tr. a short distance west to the height of land on the trail at about 3325, then a short easy one way open 10 minute whack to the jar, where I almost had a rabbit sighting- a Canadian one, as the last to sign in was Pin Pin himself on 10/23/09

After the foot of snow from the week prior there was now a patchy 1"-2" only on the upper mountain

The map from Mytopo.com did a great job of showing all of the old roads accurately and would have been tough without.

Partly sunny 30 degrees for the 5 and a half hour 12.5 mile round trip
