A NH 100 highest peak, easily accessible via snowmobile trail which itself can be reached by skiing or snowshoeing along the Balsam's XC trail, to the right of the entrance of the main ski lift.

Just walk or ski along the chain link fence until you get to the XC trail. Then follow that (on the side if you're shoeing) until you get to the second green fabric portable fence. Climb over or around the fence and you're on the snowmo trail.

Head uphill, and when you reach the height of land, there is a spur off to the left which takes you to the summit in about 100 meters.

Caution: watch and listen for snowmos!! They don't make much noise when they're coasting downhill, and your snowshoes can even drown out that sound.

We used snowshoes, but microspikes would have worked on the snowmo trail. They would've messed up the XC trail, so you'll need the snowshoes or skis for that part.

RT 3 hours, 5.8 miles, 2200 feet elevation gain.
