Date of Hike: 14-Jan-2010

Trail Conditions: Packed powder nearly all the way from the trailhead to the summit (except for occasional areas filled in by snow falling off the tree canopy). As of the day of the hike, the rocky summit cone was accessible by snowshoes. No crampons or microspikes needed! All water crossings were snow-bridged, and there were no blowdowns of any significance.

In addition to the hike to the summit, we also broke out the Webster-Cliff Trail for about 0.4 mile northward in order to get some additional views from the open boggy area at that location. For this short segment, following the trail was difficult, and there were several blowdowns, and large bend-overs, and moderate snow drifts in many spots.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes.
