Trail Conditions: Hard pack snow all the way, even above treeline. I've never seen this much snow at the summit. You can ski the Carriage Road right to the summit sign and there were tracks to prove.
Special Equipment Required: Bare boots are sufficient as trail is extreme well packed with a substantial base. Snow shoes and crampons are completely unnecessary. Microspikes and poles are useful for bombing downhill. I used them the entire way.
Comments: Bright blue skies and sun. Great visibility on top. Trail is in perfect condition for speed. 1:40 to the top and 0:56 back down for a roundtrip time of 2:36. I used to think 3 hours was good. What a rush. Get out on Sunday if you can as the Monday weather might change all that.
