Started at the parking area on Route 122. All of the roads were open, but I only saw 1 car going down any. The roads were all packed ice/snow and microspikes would have been handy if I had brought them. Had crampons, but felt they would be overkill on the trails. The bushwhacks (i.e. woods areas) were mostly shin deep snow with crusty walkable areas in between. The only deep snow I found was to the East of Wood Road. The Midastate Trail from about Dike #1 to Coldbrook Rd was solid enough to easily bareboot.
Nice day on the trails only saw 2 snowmobiles, although they were filling the parking lot as the day wound down. Did not need snowshoes on any of the bushwhacks.
