I wa standing on Indian Head and saw the cliff's going up sawtooth. It looked straight up,do you really climb this? Is it tricky and is this what everyone call's the scenic route?

Sounds like it. You don't actually go up the cliffs on the scenic route, but it's friggin steep just the same (1600' in a mile).

Not tricky at all, but you will certainly appreciate the numbered "lookouts" along the way. Great views and will allow you to tuck your surley dangling tongue back in. :)

On the bright side, I've noticed, when viewed from a little distance, many moutains/routes look alot steeper than when your actually on them.

For instance, check out the route up the cliff on Saddleback. Coming off Basin, it looks straight up, but it really not that bad at all.
