You can still drive to the gate which will remain closed until May. The road from the gate to the summer lot is nearly devoid of snow and ice. From the summer lot to the beginning of the path up Seymour there is generally less than 8" of corn snow. Bare ground is showing in some spots. The herd path up Seymour was fairly easy to follow although there were multiple tracks in spots. The snow on the summit ridge is very soft and snowshoe postholing even in the track occurred often. The snow is deep high up and travel without snowshoes would at best be tedious and at worst impossible.
