Date of Hike: 4/24/2010
Trail Conditions: Dry up until Champney Falls, then gradually got a little muddier with patchy snow until reaching the switchbacks. Switchbacks up to exposed rocks was plenty of snow, that was packed down but had a soft top layer. Spotty ice/slippery but manageable. Above "treeline" there was no snow. Some blowdowns throughout but easily manageable.
Special Equipment Required: None required although spikes/springs would have been useful for a couple miles through the switchbacks.
Comments: Perfect day for a Spring hike! Barebooted the whole way. Mid 60's, sunny, slight breeze, water was flowing high at the falls - even caught some rays at the summit.
