Hiked a loop on Mt Monadnock from park HQ. Ascend via white dot to cascade link to spellman to pumpelly trails. descend on white dot, white cross, smith connecting link, cliff walk, parker trails.
All trails easy to follow with no blowdowns and minimal mud. Bugs noticeable at 8AM but not bad later on. No snow left on any trail, only saw one very tiny remnant snow patch anywhere on the mountain. Could see Mt Washington very clearly, its above-treeline snow cover made it easy to see and identify even from this far away. Other mountains/landmarks were getting lost in the increasing haze.
Glad I started and finished early, it was getting very hot by noon.
