The first half of Polecat Trail is free of snow. There is some snow further up,that's easy to go around. Wildcat Ridge Trail has a least 2 feet of snow. I was grateful that it had been hiked recently as it was hard to follow the trail, the closer you got to A. Descending Wildcat A was slow going. Lots of snow but trail too narrow for snowshoes and there were too many bent over trees in your face.I used microspikes and my hiking campanion Dan Rossignol barebooted.

Breathtaking views from vistas. Great hike.
