All the trails are in great shape. There is just a bit of mud on the Piper trail right at the beginning. Other than that the trails are mud free. The entire mountain is snow free.

There is only one significant crossing. It's the crossing of the Chocorua river on the Weetamoo trail. I had to place one foot an inch or two under water. That was it. The crossings on the Piper trail are all bridged.

Because of recent rain there were little pockets of water here and there and Lauky was pretty well able to sip his way around the loop.

I had a few encounters with mosquitoes lower down. There was almost no breeze on top and the black flies were out up there although not too bad.

There were almost no blowdowns en the entire loop.

The footing is particularly good on the entire Weetamoo trail. It was also good on the section of the Hammond trail that we took. The lower third of the Piper trail also has very good footing.

The views from Liberty Cabin to the top are outstanding. The views on the upper ledges of he Piper trail are also good. You get views of Chocorua that you won't get any where else.

The views today were outstanding and considering what a beautiful day it was there were relatively few people on the trails.
