We have found some new mountains that we wouldn't have enjoyed ,if not for the 52WAV list. Last Friday we got a head start on the Memorial day weekend by heading up the AT from 112 across from the Beaver Brook Trailhead with Wolf as a destination.
The AT starts up STEEPLY right away until it finally reaches the ridgetop. This is also the Kinsman Ridge Trail. Fortunately, there are well established stone stairs for much of the climb. We were reminded of the climb up to the twins from Galehead.

Imagining a long ridge walk, we were surprised to find three or four MAJOR ups and downs, more resembling mountains in their own right. These added a lot of effort and time to the climb, but we are not complaining as we are still preparing for those ADK's.

Eventually we hit the REAL Wolf. We got a peep view from a small outlook.

The east knob was advertised as the good view. We were surprised to find a very small perch, as we expected a larger ledge. Nevertheless we managed to get some good pictures of Lafayette, and the Franconia Ridge, which I include below. It ended up being about 12 miles, plenty of climbing, insects not too bad (if you keep moving).
