Columbus Day weekend in Baxter Park

I have reservations for four nights in Baxter, October 7-10.
Wassataquoik Stream, Wassataquoik Lake Island, Davis Pond and Chimney Pond.

Anyone interested?

I missed my annual leisurely trip to the Russell Pond area this year, and since I recently did the trail from Chimney to Davis (and back again) have been to both places a bunch of times, I may hang at Russell for a couple of days rather than go on to Davis and Chimney. Or Pogy if I could get it. I want to stay one last time on the island before the "lean-to" is torn down.

PS - anyone else could go on to Davis and Chimney.

That island "Leanto" is more like a cell than a shelter.

I'd sleep outside if I were you. (At least it's a short paddle!)

The Throne of the Thunder God at Davis is always a treat, however!

Thanks ChrisB, but I've stayed at the shelter on the island and been to Davis - both many times. Frankly, there are other more interesting outhouses in the park - I'm partial to the wet willys.


Monday I'll be giving up the Davis and Chimney reservations.
