The trail up was totally dry. The streams were dry. The trail is well maintained with no blowdowns or other obstacles.
The rain started just as we reached the top. By the time we were two thirds of the way down water was running down the trail like a stream.
My only out of the ordinary comment is that you should bring insect repellent with you if you do the trail. The deer flies are very bad. I put Repel Lemon Eucalyptus on Lauky and it worked marvelously. He looked like an active bee hive before I put it on him and they all disappeared. I used Natrapel Picaridin on myself and that also worked.
