Trails: Ledges to SW Ridge to Bald Peak and 1.5 mile roadwalk to make a loop.

Trail Conditions: All trails are in reasonable shape. Some mud and slippery sections on Bald Peak Tr. Each trail has its own charm - the views from ledges and bald peak has a cool ravine. Did this clockwise but would do in reverse after rainfall.

Special Equipment Required: sunscreen, poles\, bug dope - I don't use it - not as bad as a previous vftt post - i was bitten maybe three times by deerflies. Did not find any ticks post hike.

Comments: Another spectacular hike with breathtaking 360 degree views for moderate effort. 5.7 miles, approx 1800' gain (cummulative). Blueberries are fully ripe. Heat and humidity slowed us down as we took frequent breaks to keep the puppy hydrated.

Met a wonderful group from camp Micha - really cool little girls who doted on my puppy. Sorry to the guy we woke up on the top - good luck with your Mt Washington Hike tomorrow.
