Just got back from a three day Bromley/VT11 to Clarendon Gorge/VT103 on the AT/LT. Heavy rains two of the three days have made for very muddy conditions in poor drainage areas through that corridor. The mud makes for slow going in some areas, particularly around Griffin Lake and Little Rock Pond (both sides of each). Most of the areas corridor where the trail travels old logging roads are in good shape and easily passable. The shelters were used but not full any of the nights we were out. And, yes, we did ford the Big Branch instead of using the detour on the relocated trail. It was fairly easy going after sizing up the situation and seeing where conditions were safe. It was the number one topic of the hikers that we met.
