Trail was quite muddy in places higher up, but otherwise in good shape. We were able to pick our way across the stream crossings without too much trouble, even with the rain - although that might change if it keeps raining. There are a couple of blow-downs on the main bushwhack (which we took on the way down), but nothing serious.
No special equipment needed.
The dogs were very intrigued by the smells in the woods, but didn't take off and didn't get into anything gross, so maybe they just heard/caught a whiff of squirrels doing their end-of-season shopping.
