First snow of the year!

Well, it's begun, the first snow of the year is falling on Mount Washington at about 10:50 this morning. There may have been flakes mixed in over the last 24 hours, but this is the first hourly report from the NWS showing light snow showers. They had several hours of ice pellets this morning, but finally it is snow at 28 degrees. Season changes are my favorite thing in New England, it is nice to see the first hints of true fall. There are several more shots of cold air over the next few weeks, and rain, so the leaves should look pretty good this year.
