Moosilauke via Beaver Brook, down via Gorge Brook, then up again to Beaver Brook via Asquam Ridge. An almost complete loop, about 14 miles/5K elevation gain. A nice option when you want a long hike with a decent elevation gain but don't feel like going to Presidentials or Franconia.
Conditions: nothing inetresting to report yet. Beaver Brook and other trails are stil in summer condition (dry).
Notes: fog, full autumn colors, magical waterfalls, interesting light, secluded except on the summit, and no rain! What more to ask?
