Hiked from Rte 20 in East Granby to Rte 168 in Suffield and back. Conditions on the Ridge were excellent. Dry despite all the rain the past few days and great traction. Nice view to the south of Talcott Mountain and to the west of the Tunxis ridgeline.
No special equipment needed but real cold for 10/3. Hat and gloves required entire time. Look forward to completing entire Metacomet in stages this fall. Last four autumns was hiking in NY - NYC Greenways, Long Path and Shawangunk Ridge Trail.
