Date of Hike: 9 October 2010
Trail Conditions: Lost Pond Trail is wet especially as it nears the end of the pond. Bog bridges are under a few inches of water. The Wildcat Ridge Trail is wet and muddy in spots along the ridge, there is one downed tree that can be ducked under near the upper part of the climb. 19-Mile brook was in pretty good shape.
Special Equipment Required: Waterproof shoes were nice to have today and with high winds and cooler temps, a pretty good selection of "wintery" gear helped - gloves, hat, heavy fleece, etc.
Comments: A cold, windy morning turned into a nice sunny afternoon. Great day for a fall hike with views that improved all day. Thanks to the pickup owners that let me grab a ride back to PNVC!
