Date of Hike- 10/23/10
Trail Conditions- Dry with large patches of ice and snow, ski trails on descent were dry with some ice patches, 4 or 5 blow downs on trail, a bunch of loose branches stuck in the ice, opted to descend via Wildcat Ski area due to steepness and iciness of first 2 miles of trail.
Special Equipment Required- Yaktraks or micro-spikes essential, trekking poles highly recommended.
Comments- Saw a large female moose while on the ski mountain, my first day of multiple 4k foot summits (Wildcat A and D), it was the first time the person that hiked with me had summited a 4k footer, overall an excellent day!!!
