Winter conditions at the Bonds. A few inches of snow on ground above Zealand Hut. Lightly snowing. It was hailing on the ascent to Bond, with snow drifting to higher amounts. Very gusty wind. Almost no views. Much of the Wilderness Trail was deep mud. At that point it was raining.

Microspikes a necessity, as well as rain gear and warm clothes, something to cover your face.
