This was the first time I've hiked to Mt. Caribou from the Bog Road trailhead. I've always accessed this mountain from the trailhead on Route 113.

The road leading to the trailhead was in good shape, and there were no issues with parking.

Overall, the trail was in good shape. All water crossings were easily done. There were a few minor blowdowns, but they were all easily negotiated in one manner or another. Also, there were some sections that were wet/muddy, but nothing to cause any concern.

Following the trail is easy for the most part. You should just be aware that in a few spots, the trail makes an abrupt turn. In most cases, there is a signboard with an arrow to announce a turn, but sometimes these arrows are not readily apparent. So, if something doesn't feel right, then just stop and look around for an arrow, and/or for evidence of the trail's treadway leading off in an unexpected direction. The trail is blazed which also helps.
