Trail Conditions: Dry and Well blazed
Comments: Only one segment of Metacomet Left! Relo on Edgewood Rd in Berlin is a little dull. I took abandoned trail still blazed blue back N on ridgeline and took unblazed trails back to road when I hit No Trespassing signs. Best route would be to stay on ridgeline until power line that has nice views to W and N of Rattlesnake Mtn and beyond, then follow powerline down or Black and White Blaze
Trail to West Peak from Rt 71 Chamberlain Hwy follows cliff line and, in clear weather had spectacular views S to Sleeping Giant, NH, LI Sound and LI and N to Hartford Skyline and Holyoke Range! Best downhill option is to run down park road, saves time if pressed.
