South Crocker 1/1/11 - CVR & AT

Road was well packed, used snowshoes on the way out, not the way back, did not make much difference. Most of the AT was heavy and wet snow, shoes were helpful on ascent, took them off for descent due to steepness/slide, and it was packed enough not to posthole. One patch of ice on exposed slope halfway up AT segment, traction was not really needed, poles absolutely were.

The weather was partly cloudy, pretty warm, no precipitation.
