Trails were broken out all the way. OBP had some ice to avoid, as did the top portion of Falling Waters from L. Haystack.
Some of the ridge had drifting, but overall decent snow coverage. Lower Falling Waters had good snow coverage, crossings were easy.
We wore microspikes all day, carried snowshoes. Next time I will bring crampons as a precaution.
Beautiful weather day - high clouds, low wind on the ridge, good visibility. Very cool ice on the waterfalls. Great day with Bob & Geri!
We heard 3 short blasts while descending Falling Waters. We could hear jets in the area, this almost sounded like cannon fire!
