Nice southbound hike along the Natchaug this weekend. The snow Saturday night was mitigated by the excellent shelter at the Gen. Lyon Memorial Park in Eastford. I barebooted the whole way and wouldn't have changed that. The elevation gain and loss was minimal enough so as not to require Stablicers or YakTrax. That's not to say I didn't fall a couple times, but hey, that happens in the summer too! All in all, great hike, great trail, and beautiful cold weather.
