Date of Hike: 1/9/11
Trail Conditions: Trail is largely in good shape. On some of the slopes and areas prone to flooding there is very smooth, slick ice hidden under a light layer of snow.
Special Equipment Required: None. One or two spots microspikes would have been handy, but this need was too infrequent to get me to put them on.
Comments: I mostly hiked all over the north section, with a foray into the middle. I was setting up a new Garmin 62s GPS, and wanted to get all the trail junctions marked in the GPS. Ground is frozen solid, with the biggest risk being ice and punching through frozen ground.
