I just got power back after a brief (< 2 hours) outage ... strong gusts of wind as per the forecast

If you are coming for the weekend you might want to check with the power companies. For NHEC see their outage map; for PSNH see the storm update table and outage map.

Does this mean I shouldn't bring my hair dryer and iron to the higher summits this weekend? At least my pack will be so much lighter than usual.

A number of small branches and limbs are down in my area, along with a couple of power outages. Was up on S. Pack a little after noon and the wind was strong enough to blow me around, and I'm not a lightweight!

Mt. Washington hit 121mph today.
