Date of Hike: 2 April 2011, we went out about 1.5 mile from the suspension bridge.
Trail Conditions: Wet, dense snow cover with few bare/thin spots. Snow bridges are rotten but water crossings not dangerous. Possibility of wet feet, though. Several blowdowns that could not be stepped over or under. Some uncertainty in locating trail after a couple of them but not too bad.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes helpful on the trail, probably overkill on the road walk in. Parking on RT 113 at the north gate is plentiful if slightly muddy.
Comments: We saw fresh moose tracks adorned with copious blood spots. Not sure what was up with that.
