Trail snow/ice free, dry and in great shape. Crossing of Hatch Brook at the very beginning of the trail is an easy rock hop. One walk-under blowdown on the AT just south of the AT/North Pine Knob junction that I didn't recognize from last year had been de-limbed and is not an obstacle.
No special equipment needed.
