I've gotten 6 calls so far today from my buddy Froggie (who was on the phone with me again for the last inning. Last time we did that was 1986). Each call today was like this: "Hey Kroto, guess what - THE SOX ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!" click. He's flying out from Long Beach for the parade, getting here just after 6 AM on Saturday. A true fan and friend.

I have been very nervous and cautious today. I always felt I would die the day after the Red Sox won the World Series. Deep in my heart of heart I still feel that some how this ins't all happening and that they will still choke and break my heart yet again.
Did they really win?? Is everyone else having the same dream?
Hey, Darren started this, I'm piling on. First the Sox are the the Yankees' Daddy. Now the Cards have a new Daddy too.
Rik thought that mentioning dogs would be off-topic, but he's wrong. The Red Sox AA farm club is the Portland Sea Dogs. Furthermore, when they were in the Marlins system we watched a good young prospect come through: Kevin Millar was his name!
