I've gotten 6 calls so far today from my buddy Froggie (who was on the phone with me again for the last inning. Last time we did that was 1986). Each call today was like this: "Hey Kroto, guess what - THE SOX ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!" click. He's flying out from Long Beach for the parade, getting here just after 6 AM on Saturday. A true fan and friend.

    Can you believe it?
    It really happened!
'Pigs can fly, hell is frozen, the slipper finally fits,
and Impossible Dreams really can come true.
The Red Sox have won the World Series'
"I once met a man with a sense of adventure,
He was dressed to thrill wherever he went,
He said, 'let's make love on a mountain top,
under the stars on a big hard rock.'
I said, 'In these shoes? I don't think so.'
I said, 'Honey, let's do it here.'" -K. Maccoll

I have been very nervous and cautious today. I always felt I would die the day after the Red Sox won the World Series. Deep in my heart of heart I still feel that some how this ins't all happening and that they will still choke and break my heart yet again.

Did they really win?? Is everyone else having the same dream?

Rik thought that mentioning dogs would be off-topic, but he's wrong. The Red Sox AA farm club is the Portland Sea Dogs. Furthermore, when they were in the Marlins system we watched a good young prospect come through: Kevin Millar was his name!

Actually KZ, it's only 17 (this is sox #6) and in reality, to TOTALLY catch up to the Yankees we'd have to throw 1 colossal, all-time, for the ages choke job in there too.

But look on the bright side, there's always NEXT YEAR, or the year after that

All in good fun though, right ....

The Yankees "LOS(s)T" and the Red Sox "FOUND" a way to win.

Seriously though, all Non-Red Sox fans should be leashed and under the owners control at all times and rabid Red Sox fans can run around freely. And please..no comments....you never met my Red Sox fan...he wouldn't hurt anyone!!
I can't think of an inspirational, funny or quirky little saying.
