lakes in the clouds hut, june 6th and 7th. tempermental knee made it necessary to take cog up, lakes overnight, and down ammonoosuc ravine next day. did a side trip along crawford path and wildflowers were great. black flies below 4000ft. need bug spray if you are just going to hang out. flies not bad above tree line as long as wind is blowing. wanted to post this trip mostly to say thanks to the hut crew. food and hospitality was great. great job to all. as usual, met some very nice people. beautiful sunset at hut. life is good. d&d
