My destination for this relatively short hike was a little ledge located less than 0.2 mile off the abandoned Mt. Hale Fire Warden Trail.
I did not hike the entire length of either of the North Twin Trail, or the Fire Warden Trail.
TRAIL CONDITIONS:
North Twin Trail (up to first water crossing): The trail was in good shape. There were no blowdowns, and the trail was generally dry with the exception of a few minor muddy spots.
I had no need to cross the river since I was headed up the bootleg trail on the east side of the Little River in order to access the Fire Warden Trail. HOWEVER, the water level was low, and so getting across the river at the first crossing would have been no problem.
Mt Hale Fire Warden Trail (up to the first long switchback): The abandoned trail has some muddy spots that I'd characterize as moderate. There were no blowdowns of any significance.
My BLOG contains a few photos + some narrative about this short hike.
