Trail Conditions:

Flume Slide Trail could use a good brushing on the approach to the slide. Spots where brush is starting to touch across the trail. Slide itself was very wet but manageable. Edit: there was no sign marking the top of the Flume Slide Trail at the trail junction with the FRT, although other signs were present.

Franconia Ridge in good shape.

Old Bridle Path good as well - muddy in spots.

Special Equipment Required: Raingear, at least a waterproof shell was nice at times as weather was mixed. Never used rain pants. Pack cover.

Comments: Good hike regardless of on/off rain in afternoon. Bugs still about here and there as well. First time coming up Flume slide - I've wanted to see it for a long time. It did not disappoint. Many people on Lafayette...
