Emergency Number for Vermont

I will be spending a few days out on the Long Trail in Vermont. Can someone please tell me an emergency phone number that I can put on my Itinerary in case something happens and my wife can call in case I need a rescue?

Vermont uses 911, so that would be the obvious choice for you. If your wife is out of state, she could call the VSP barracks, in any location, preferable the local one. Except some aren't open 24/7 (I think Williston is though).

Actually though on the LT in mid summer, help will probably hike by you several times a day, so I think needing to call for help would be very unusual.
