Of the three great beach walks, in RI, this the most accessible in the summer.

Limited 2 hour street parking is available in Watch Hill.

Dogs are allowed 6 PM to 8 AM (2 MAY TO LABOR DAY) on leashes according to sign. This is a better walk in winter or off season, but nice for a sunrise walk in July.

Today a low tide provided nice packed sand to walk on, could have ridden a bike with 700 ccc tires.

The plover nesting nesting sites are fenced off with ugly metal street signs poles and yellow rope, to me it was ugly and kind of ironic to have such a sight in such a beautiful natural setting? All in the name of nature? wow.

watch out for locals walking dogs without restraint, they always let them run free make, they make no attempt to restrain them and they always always try to attack my 14 lb terrier mix who hates big dogs.
