Trail Conditions: Very Dry - Important Note: Just after turning onto the south end of the Jefferson Notch road, there is a large tree across the road that can just be passed by driving over some branches. Take it slow!
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: Optional - Beautiful day after doing Rumford Whitecap in 92 heat the day before. Because I was wearing my new VFTT shirt, mtnpa introduced himself to me and we had a quick chat! He must have driven the black pickup with the VFTT sticker that was parked next to mine at the parking lot.
Also chatted with Peppersas who's husband (I think) was doing Jefferson as the last of his 48. Hope he was sucessful!
To be honest, I only had time to hang out for a while on the highest cap, before heading back home. But it was enough for a quick above treeline fix!
