A botched attempt at a thruhike with a car spot turned out to be a single car hike from Rts 11/30, out and back to Bromley in the morning and out and back to Spruce Peak for lunch... Two short hikes, something like 10.5 miles total.
Trails to both peaks are in good shape, run into a mixture of LT thruhikers, AT SOBOs and the dayhikers, big parking lot. Got to the summit before the ski lifts were running so it was pretty quiet, had the summit to myself for a bit until a LT hiker came and joined me. Checked out the Hostile Inn and the observation tower. Nice views to Stratton and Manchester and Mt Equinox.

In hindsight, I should of went past the summit of Spruce Peak to check out that Spruce Peak Shelter/cabin...
