Date of Hike: 27 August 2011
Trail Conditions: Trails are in good shape. Mount Kinsman Trail had a couple muddy spots but otherwise the treadway is in great shape.
Special Equipment Required: nothing in particular today.
Comments: Turned out to be a nice day to get a hike in before the rain. I had never come up from the west and had never had a view from the ridge; it has been socked in the few prior times I've been up there - the route was great - moderate climbing on a good path. There are some spots marked with surveyor's tape for necessary trail maintenance on MKT - they are clearly marked with sharpies as to their purpose (e.g. W.Bar). Thanks Dan!
