Save the date: Pat and Audrey's potluck Saturday 11/5/11

Well, now that an adventure-filled year has almost gone by, I'm extending our usual invitation to attend our potluck in Lexington, MA. Since it's still 2 months away, I'll post details later.

There's plenty of room for sleepovers, and we NEVER run out of food. There'll be plenty left for the breakfast party.

Great choice of date ... an extra hour of recovery time the next morning!

What are hiking plans for everybody?? I will have to get the maps out and see what we are close to. We are by the AT correct??

Nope, the AT is hours away. Close to this potluck event is (1) Blue Hills, (2) Middlesex Fells and (3) many other smaller state parks & conservation areas.

Thanks! I am not familiar with the area, so looking for hiking suggestions or to hike with some folks that could show us around the area.

The AT is 2--2.5 hrs to the west.

Some closer walks/hikes (time to get there):
Hikes:
* Wachusett: ~1 hr
* Mt. Watitic ~1 hr
* Monadnock ~1.5 hr
Walks:
* Minuteman Bike Path: 5-10 min
* Great Meadows: 5-10 min
* Walden Pond: 20 min
* Great Brook Farm: 30 min
