Trails: Up Gorge Brook, down Carriage and Snapper Trails.

Conditions: Trails mostly in quite good shape. Signs show recent clearing of blowdowns. Bridges intact. There is one section of Gorge Brook Trail (between the two bridges) that is washed out, and you have to traverse the stream. Rock-hopping was very doable on this day; but high water could necessitate a steep, difficult bushwhack.* Poles helpful.

*Update: I have been told that trail crews have been working on this section 9/12 - 9/14.

Comments: I arrived at the trailhead just after the 2020 Vision Quest group that was in charge of the "Flags on the 48" for Moosilauke. Incredible to me imagining hiking this trail blind, as leader Randy Pierce did with his guide dog Quinn.

Look for VFTT's "Blue" in several shots.

[Note - the last 3 shots are from an earlier hike.]
