Trail Conditions:

Hi-Cannon Trail has sections that have taken on a luge appearance due to washout but they're not difficult. There are more than a few herd paths up this route. The upper sections were very wet and/or muddy and could use some brushing soon in spots. No blowdowns. Ladder was in good shape.

Kinsman Ridge Trail was wet in spots but otherwise good.

Lonesome Lake Trail was in pretty good shape as well.

All bridges and bog bridges were in good shape.

Special Equipment Required: Pack cover was nice for the wet branches and brief rain we got. Had rain gear but it stayed in the pack.

Comments: with a lazy start to the day, this was a good fun route to do. No views and wet most of the day but it didn't rain much and it got progressively better on the descent as is so often the case. Great day out and lots of people on the trail. Leaves were maybe half turned - beautiful and vibrant in spots. Peaking very soon.
