This photo is why this section of the Sierra is known as "The Range of Light".

Hahaha... ohh.. I knew once you read this, you'd pick up on that quickly! ...

Now I can say... The End. ;)

Awesome story! :) That just really makes it special!

You wanna lead me some climb? ;)

Thanks for bringing some memories back, although we did the East Face route. I loved the climb, even though it was a bit more than I was really prepared to handle. Especially above the Fresh Air Traverse. How did you come down? The Mountaineer's Route?

The attached photo is one of my favorites, as Brian is trusting he can get around that bulge.

Nah, the Mountaineers looked heinuous, especially with the upper section filled with ice. We hiked off on the trail.

Cool pic, and nice job on the East Face! Its airy!

Thanks for the photo compliments!

I loved your photo of the lake with Whitney's reflection. Our guide had us roped up with protection for the upper section, which I didn't think necessary, but who am I to argue with a guide under such circumstances. The one major problem I had was where I cramped up both arms trying to climb up. Finally, Brian sat down and told me I could step on his shoulder to get higher purchase. I took advantage and stood on his head, too.
