Trail Conditions - Ammo was muddy. River crossings were tricky due to high, fast moving water. Some nice trailwork had been done to replace a washed out log bridge. The steeper sections and scrambles below Lakes of the Clouds hut were slick.

Crawford Path was in great shape.

Gulfside had some standing water and rocky sections were slick.

Jewell was slick above treeline and muddy pretty much the whole way down. After the final river crossing there was so significant washout that made finding the trail to the base road a little tricky. Luckily it is marked with colored tape on a tree branch (look left after crossing the river).

Special Equipment: Goretex boots, pants and jacket - trekking poles highly recommended

Comments: All around great day on Washington despite the rain and fog.
