Trail is well marked. Weather started out warm and overcast. The trail alernated between wet ground and very icy sections where microspikes were necessary. As the trail climbed higher I put microspikes off and on, and finally just left them on. About 10 minutes before intersection of Crawford and Edmands it became very windy and very cold. I donned winter clothes, covering my face. I didn't see anyone else on the trail.
As I ascended up Eisenhower visibility decreased. About .2 miles from summit I turned around. I didn't want to tempt fate and thought it better to err on the side of safety. Just as I returned to the parking lot it rain came down steadily then just poured.

Still a great hike. At just about noon the sun came out for a few minutes.
